Technical Manager, Platform & Network Security

About the role

The Cyber Security Department of the Hong Kong Jockey Club is looking for a Technical Manager to embed security controls across its cloud, platform and network environments. You will work closely with security architects, infrastructure, application and project teams to ensure a resilient, secure technology landscape that supports the Club’s operations and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Embed security controls into design, implementation and operation of cloud and hybrid platforms, including workloads, containers and supporting infrastructure.
• Operate and continuously improve cloud, platform and network security services in line with Club policies and standards.
• Govern and administer cloud security services and network controls such as CSPM, CWPP, WAF, API security, DDoS protection, firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Provide security metrics, reports and risk insights to IT and business stakeholders.
• Support cloud security assessments, vulnerability remediation, investigations and improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Cloud Security, Information Security or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud, platform and network security across multiple disciplines.
• Strong service‑oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional integrity and disciplined approach to security governance.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CSPM, CWPP, container/Kubernetes security and cloud‑native security services.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM), vulnerability management, EDR/anti‑malware.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF), API security, DDoS protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Tencent Cloud) and their native security capabilities.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust, secure cloud architecture and cloud governance frameworks.
• Industry‑recognised certifications (e.g., CCSP, AZ‑500, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, CISM).
