Tenure-Track Clinical Professor (Multiple Posts)

About the role

We are seeking outstanding scholars to join the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong as tenure‑track Clinical Professors, Clinical Associate Professors or Clinical Assistant Professors. Appointments are initially for a four‑year fixed term with the possibility of renewal and eventual consideration for tenure. Successful candidates will be based in Hong Kong and will work within the university’s affiliated hospitals and clinics.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop high‑quality teaching programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
• Conduct independent, internationally recognised research and secure competitive grants.
• Provide clinical services in the relevant specialty at HKU Health System hospitals and clinics.
• Foster collaborations across departments, faculties and external institutions.
• Mentor junior faculty, residents and students, and contribute to curriculum development.

Required profile

• Specialist registration with the Hong Kong Medical Council (or eligibility for certification).
• Advanced academic qualification such as MD, MS or PhD.
• Demonstrated record of high‑impact publications, grant acquisition and clinical excellence.
• International recognition for scholarship and professional expertise.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development and mentorship.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in one of the listed specialties (e.g., Anaesthesiology, Oncology, Radiology, etc.).
• Research methodology and grant writing.
• Medical education and curriculum design.
