Demi Chef – Marina Kitchen

About the role

Marriott International is seeking a motivated Demi Chef to join the Marina Kitchen team in Hong Kong. You will support the Chef in delivering high‑quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods, and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill and roaster temperatures and manage food thawing from freezer storage.
• Maintain accurate food logs, portion control, and garnish presentation.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials, and communicate menu specials or out‑of‑stock items to service staff.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating staff, acting as a role model for the team.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, report maintenance needs and ensure a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving and standing for extended periods.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant culinary experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
