Head of Security for Private Family Office

About the role

Serve as the single most trusted guardian for a prominent Hong Kong family, overseeing their physical safety, household operations, and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive threat assessments and develop security plans for residences, travel, and assets.
• Lead and mentor the bodyguard (BG) team and private driver team, ensuring readiness and professional development.
• Design, test and maintain business continuity and crisis‑management frameworks for the family office.
• Oversee physical security across all properties, managing access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring and perimeter protection.
• Implement visitor‑management, information‑security and data‑protection policies.
• Coordinate travel security logistics for domestic and international trips, including route planning and venue assessments.
• Liaise with Hong Kong Police and security vendors, and manage relationships with key service providers.
• Drive modernization of treasury security, including cash management, payment processing, digital‑asset custody and multi‑factor authentication.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years senior security management experience, preferably in a family office, elite corporate environment, HK police or military.
• Proven executive protection background with experience leading BG and driver teams.
• Strong knowledge of physical security, cybersecurity and crisis‑management principles.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
