In-house Security Officer

About the role

Mandarin Oriental The Landmark is seeking an In‑house Security Officer to join its dedicated Security team. You will be the front‑line guardian of the hotel’s safety standards, ensuring a secure environment for guests, VIPs, staff and visitors while upholding the brand’s reputation for excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform established duties and assignments, maintaining strict compliance with hotel and departmental standards.
• Project a professional, confident and reassuring image to all guests, patrons, visitors and colleagues.
• Ensure high levels of guard tour patrol compliance and respond immediately to security and safety occurrences.
• Participate in all emergency drills and be familiar with fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment.
• Facilitate the safe movement of VIP guests throughout the property.
• Execute access controls at designated checkpoints, including colleague entrances and loading bays.
• Conduct stringent vetting of visitors, contractors and suppliers, registering them and issuing colour‑coded visitor passes.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a comparable security role within an international 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an open mind toward diverse cultures.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and sociable personality.

Required skills

• Familiarity with emergency systems such as fire alarm systems and fire extinguishers.
• Ability to conduct guard tour patrols and respond promptly to incidents.
• Experience with access control procedures and visitor vetting processes.
