In-house Security Officer – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The In-house Security Officer will join the Security Department of Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, a premier 5‑star hotel in Hong Kong. Reporting to the Security Manager, you will help maintain the highest standards of safety, security and guest experience across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily security duties and ensure strict compliance with hotel and departmental standards.
• Project a professional, confident and reassuring image to guests, visitors and colleagues.
• Maintain high levels of guard‑tour patrol compliance.
• Respond immediately to security and safety incidents, including accidents.
• Participate in all emergency drills and be familiar with fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and other emergency equipment.
• Ensure safe and unimpeded movement of VIP guests throughout the hotel.
• Control access at designated checkpoints, including colleague entrances and loading bays.
• Vet visitors, contractors and suppliers, register them and issue colour‑coded visitor passes.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar security role within an international 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an open mind to diverse cultures.
• Friendly, approachable, sociable and motivated with an enthusiastic character.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and fire‑extinguisher operation.
• Proficiency with access‑control systems and checkpoint procedures.
• Experience in visitor vetting and registration processes.
• Ability to conduct and monitor guard‑tour patrols.
