Legal Counsel – ETF (Hong Kong)

About the role

Invesco is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to lead all legal matters for its APAC ETF business. You will act as the primary legal point of contact for local ETFs, cross‑listings and regulatory interactions across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the APAC legal representative within Invesco’s global ETF legal function, coordinating with EMEA and Americas teams.
• Draft, review and update prospectuses, fund documents and service provider agreements; prepare and submit regulatory authorisation and listing applications.
• Advise on ETF structuring and launches to ensure compliance with local and international legal frameworks.
• Liaise with regulators and exchanges for approvals, inquiries and ongoing legal matters.
• Collaborate with APAC Legal, product development, sales, compliance, risk, capital markets and portfolio management on ETF‑related issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments in APAC affecting ETF marketing and distribution.
• Identify, advise on and manage legal risk, implementing appropriate internal controls.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in Hong Kong with at least 5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong academic background and legal training.
• Proven experience in securities, fund or ETF law within the APAC region.
• Ability to work independently and partner with global legal and business teams.
