Project Manager / Construction Manager – Data Center

About the role

The Data Center Construction Manager will lead construction project management for new data‑hall builds, system enhancements and other capital initiatives. The role owns the project scope, quality, schedule and budget while working closely with design and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership throughout construction, identifying risks, optimizing buildability and supporting cost‑effective delivery.
• Proactively mitigate construction, commercial, procurement and contractual risks.
• Interface with general contractors and vendors during bidding, award, execution and close‑out phases.
• Prepare project scopes, issue RFPs, negotiate contracts and evaluate bids with accuracy.
• Perform cost control, financial analysis and regular site inspections to certify payments.
• Manage projects that enhance the resiliency of data‑center facilities.
• Conduct constructability reviews of MEP designs and oversee contract administration, submittal reviews, RFIs, change orders and invoicing.
• Ensure quality control, compliance with regulations, SLA requirements and internal guidelines.
• Record and report key construction metrics and drive root‑cause failure analysis.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work across internal and external teams.
• Experience in managing construction projects for data‑center or similar high‑tech facilities.
• Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks, negotiate contracts and control budgets.
• Detail‑oriented approach to quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
