Project Manager (Maintenance)

About the role

The Project Manager (Maintenance) is responsible for end‑to‑end delivery of a maintenance contract, ensuring preventive and corrective maintenance as well as hardware repairs are performed in strict compliance with service level agreements. The role leads engineering teams, manages suppliers and subcontractors, and guarantees safety compliance across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full oversight of the maintenance contract, ensuring all service deliverables meet SLA and technical requirements.
• Manage relationships with external suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring performance, cost‑effectiveness and contractual compliance.
• Lead the project team, allocate resources, and foster professional development.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure service stability and prevent disruptions.
• Ensure all maintenance operations comply with established safety requirements and mitigate safety risks.
• Provide regular, high‑quality reporting to the customer and maintain internal KPI records.
• Identify potential project risks early and coordinate corrective actions with relevant owners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in maintenance or service project management within the telecommunications industry, preferably with Hong Kong government or MTR contracts.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing external suppliers and subcontractors.

Required skills

• Project Management methodologies and tools (e.g., SLA/OLA management).
• Strong knowledge of construction safety requirements and regulations in Hong Kong.
• Relevant Project Management certification such as PMP or Prince2 (desirable).
