Recreation Officer

About the role

The Recreation Officer is the primary point of contact for guests using the property’s leisure facilities. You will create a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment across pools, beach areas, fitness centres, game rooms and children’s activity zones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about all recreation amenities and assist guests with bookings and registrations.
• Promote a fun atmosphere while enforcing safety rules and facility regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies, and provide first‑aid assistance until medical services arrive.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments for rentals, activities and retail sales.
• Support private functions and group events held within recreation spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of equipment, facilities and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management.

Required profile

• Excellent customer‑service orientation with clear, professional communication.
• Physical ability to stand, walk or lift objects up to 25 lb (assistance for heavier items).
• Capability to work in varied environments – wet, uneven or elevated surfaces.
• Attention to safety protocols and ability to act calmly in emergencies.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
