Restaurant Host – Front‑of‑House Team

About the role

The Restaurant Host will be the first point of contact for guests entering the dining area of Dorsett Kai Tak. This role ensures a warm welcome, smooth seating flow, and a positive first impression that reflects the hotel’s Marina‑inspired hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables while presenting menus.
• Manage reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements to maintain an efficient service flow.
• Answer phone calls promptly, handle reservation inquiries, and provide accurate wait‑time estimates.
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate service and address guest needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host station and lobby area, and handle guest complaints professionally.

Required profile

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to stay calm and composed under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
