Senior Associate – Transfer Pricing

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Transfer Pricing practice in Asia. You will be a core member of the engagement team, delivering high‑quality, practical solutions to complex inter‑company tax challenges across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including local files, master files and Country‑by‑Country Reporting.
• Conduct functional and risk analyses, draft planning memoranda, and model tax impacts of proposed inter‑company transactions.
• Assist senior team members with tax controversy, audit defense, and responses to authority inquiries.
• Take ownership of day‑to‑day drafting and quantitative analysis for client deliverables.
• Mentor Associates and Interns, providing technical review and guidance.
• Utilize and help optimise TP technology tools and data‑analytics platforms to improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of transfer pricing experience in a professional services, consulting, or commercial environment.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills with a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is a plus.
