Senior Legal Counsel – APAC

About the role

This senior legal counsel position supports the Asia‑Pacific market for a multinational technology company. Reporting to the General Counsel, the role provides legal guidance on transactions, commercial contracts and product development while contributing to strategic growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business leaders on marketing, sales and commercial contracts across Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
• Lead complex transaction negotiations and ensure legal support throughout deal lifecycles.
• Collaborate with product teams to develop new technology products, services and solutions.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of commercial matters.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations in each APAC jurisdiction.
• Participate in APAC strategy and growth projects, offering legal oversight for a multi‑billion‑dollar enterprise.

Required profile

• 6–12 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably with both law‑firm and in‑house exposure.
• Background in technology‑focused businesses and ability to work closely with sales, marketing and product functions across Asia.
• Proven capability to navigate cultural differences and collaborate with teams in the UK and US.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
