Staff Accountant – Assurance (Insurance) – Hong Kong

About the role

EY’s Assurance Financial Service Organization (FSO) is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its audit team serving insurance groups, banks and funds in Hong Kong. The role involves delivering high‑quality audit and advisory services while building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key business decision‑makers to communicate the value of EY’s services.
• Provide guidance and execute audit procedures, focusing on complex or specialized issues.
• Support planning, execution and delivery of assurance engagements.
• Prepare reports and schedules for clients and other parties.
• Collaborate with team members, share knowledge and keep senior staff updated on progress.
• Maintain productive working relationships with client personnel and internal EY teams.

Required profile

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification (HKICPA preferred).
• At least 1 year of audit experience in a public accounting firm or relevant industry experience in insurance, banking or investment management.
• Strong project‑management abilities and advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Mandarin.
