Video News Producer – Hong Kong

About the role

CNN is looking for a multi‑platform Video News Producer to join its Asia‑Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. The role focuses on using open‑source intelligence and digital forensic methods to deliver fast‑moving, breaking‑news video content for digital‑first audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, gather, verify and clear distinctive video footage from conflict zones, natural disasters and other breaking events.
• Apply OSINT and digital forensic techniques to uncover and validate information.
• Produce and edit video packages for broadcast, online and social platforms.
• Collaborate with a diverse newsroom to support CNN’s follow‑the‑sun operation, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
• Work across time zones and be available for weekend shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Strong editorial judgement and a passion for breaking news.
• Proven experience producing video for digital‑first audiences.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high‑pressure environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
