Assistant Manager, Distribution Center Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations of our distribution centre, ensuring smooth receiving, picking, dispatch and returns while meeting key performance indicators.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate resources and assign tasks to supervisors and floor staff based on daily volume and priorities.
• Coordinate routine cycle counts and stock‑takes to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Review and update standard operating procedures to reflect current workflow requirements.
• Collaborate with third‑party vendors, monitor their performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with clients and participate in internal and external audits.
• Handle complaints and deviations, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare quality‑assurance documents, reports and conduct SOP training for internal staff.
• Execute ad‑hoc projects and tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Higher diploma or university degree in supply chain, logistics or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar distribution‑center or logistics role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with logical thinking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of quality‑management principles; SAP experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Cantonese required.
