Accountant – Vessel Accounting

About the role
The Accountant will support daily vessel accounting operations, including accounts receivable/payable, fund monitoring, inter‑company transfers and preparation of full set accounts. The role works closely with finance teams across Fleet’s global offices and ensures accurate reporting for vessel owners.
Key responsibilities
- Handle vessel accounting and maintain portage bill records.
- Raise fund requests to owners and monitor receipt of funds.
- Prepare full sets of vessel reports with supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure timely completion of reports.
- Scrutinise vessel reports and respond to owner queries.
- Reconcile inter‑company vessel balances.
- Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors and head office.
- Assist in SOX audits and ad‑hoc finance assignments.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of experience in vessel accounting with independent handling of reports.
- Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business or an equivalent field.
