About the role
We are looking for an Accountant to support daily vessel accounting operations, including AR/AP monitoring, inter‑company fund transfers and the preparation of full‑set accounts for our fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Handle vessel accounting and maintain Portage Bill records.
- Raise fund requests to vessel owners and monitor receipts.
- Prepare complete vessel reports with supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with other functions to ensure timely report completion.
- Review vessel reports and respond to owner queries.
- Reconcile inter‑company vessel balances.
- Provide MIS data related to vessel reports to supervisors or head office.
- Assist with ad‑hoc finance and accounts tasks, including SOX audit support.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules for year‑end audits.
- Support the Hong Kong finance team on inter‑company transactions.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years of solid accounting experience handling vessel reports independently.
- Graduate or higher diploma in Accountancy, Business or an equivalent field.
- Demonstrated decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
