Associate Director, Project Management - Data Centre

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring an Associate Director in Project Management in Hong Kong to lead the delivery of complex construction and workplace projects, including data centre projects, from inception to completion. The role covers strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, portfolio oversight, team development and business growth, and includes overseeing invoicing processes through D-365.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members, foster a collaborative team culture and demonstrate inclusive, accountable leadership.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, act as the main client contact and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Define project strategy, KPIs and governance frameworks for quality, safety, compliance, risk and environmental management.
• Drive project controls for schedule, cost, risk and change management, and lead end-to-end procurement from tender strategy to vendor selection.
• Monitor budgets and financial performance, support commercial negotiations and contract administration, and manage invoicing in D-365 with full compliance to client billing requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, manage permitting and statutory submissions, and resolve construction issues with contractors and consultants.
• Contribute to business development, including proposals, client presentations and market engagement.
• Plan resources across projects, forecast needs, address skill gaps and capture lessons learned.

Required profile

• Construction-related degree (e.g. Project Management, Construction Management, Design, Engineering) or equivalent.
• At least 10 years' experience in project management or construction projects; data centre project experience is a must.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience managing people and clients in a client-facing environment.
• Native-level Cantonese and business-level English.
