Associate Director, Cost Management (MEP QS)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Associate Director in Cost Management (MEP QS) in Hong Kong. You will lead the delivery of cost management services for construction projects from initiation to completion, covering strategic planning, stakeholder management, governance and execution, while overseeing costs, leading the team and contributing to business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Line management of cost managers and team members, including interviews, performance reviews and resource planning against the business pipeline
• Act as the main day-to-day client interface and lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers
• Develop cost benchmarks, KPIs and cost reporting structures, and present monthly post-contract cost reports to the client
• Manage estimating and cost planning, including final revisions of cost plans, and lead value engineering and life cycle costing exercises
• Implement cost controls within schedule, cost, risk and change management, and monitor budgets and variations
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract administration, and manage internal risk procedures and the contract database
• Manage invoicing in D-365, validate invoice data and track status with finance teams
• Contribute to business development, proposals and client presentations

Required profile

• Degree in Cost Management, Quantity Surveying or a similar discipline
• Minimum 8-10 years of post-qualification experience on public and private sector projects
• RICS or HKIS membership is a minimum requirement
• MEP QS background with mechanical and electrical experience preferred
• Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Cantonese (Mandarin a bonus)
• Track record in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and collaborating with construction and design teams
