Associate Director, Project Management - Retail Banking

About the role

Turner & Townsend, a global professional services company with over 22,000 people in more than 62 countries, is hiring an Associate Director of Project Management for its Retail Banking practice in Hong Kong. The role leads multidisciplinary project teams and acts as the day-to-day client interface, delivering a value-added cost management service while managing the team's resources against the business pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Take line management responsibility for project managers and team members, giving structured guidance, feedback and performance reviews, and conduct interviews for vacant positions
• Analyse, challenge and brainstorm project requirements and deliverables to find creative solutions for clients
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, and act as the key client contact
• Facilitate communication across stakeholders through meetings, reporting and documentation, and build strong relationships with internal and external parties
• Manage the master programme, including materials and long lead items, and update it with weekly work plans, look-ahead schedules and inspection timelines
• Plan and organise statutory inspections, produce project reports covering updates, risks, decisions and action items, and monitor progress and quality with site teams
• Ensure safety standards and compliance are met, and support project administration, documentation and issue resolution

Required profile

• Degree in Architecture, Project Management, Construction, Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with a proven track record of complex Retail, Banking or Commercial fit-out projects
• Full professional level of written and spoken Cantonese and English

• Knowledge of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced timelines and tight corporate deadlines within a consultancy team
