Barista – The Communal

About the role

Join the award‑winning Mandarin Oriental team at The Landmark as a Barista for The Communal café. You will deliver personalised coffee and beverage service to discerning guests in a luxury hotel environment, supporting the overall guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea and specialty beverages following The Communal standards.
• Perform milk texturing and create latte art using café equipment.
• Take orders, upsell items and process transactions on the POS system.
• Maintain consistent beverage quality, presentation and workstation cleanliness.
• Monitor stock levels, replenish supplies and report equipment issues.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve guest enquiries.
• Support opening and closing duties and adhere to hygiene, safety and food‑handling standards.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning and assist with any additional tasks as directed by the department head.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience as a barista or in a hotel food‑and‑beverage role.
• Passionate about delivering exceptional service in a luxury setting.
• Presentable, service‑oriented with good supervision abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is a plus.
