Claims Officer (Travel)

About the role

Zurich Insurance is seeking a Claims Officer focused on travel insurance to manage standard complex claims with low supervision. You will deliver a customer‑centric service while ensuring efficient, effective claim resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Handle first‑ and third‑party travel claims, responding to enquiries from customers and external contacts.
• Develop claim case strategies, assign appropriate reserves, conduct investigations and engage suppliers.
• Review, resolve and finalize claims within authority limits to achieve optimal settlements.
• Gather and organise evidence to assess claim value and identify potential fraud.
• Act as a referral point for escalated cases and mentor junior colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the claim lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma, preferably working toward a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of insurance claims handling experience, preferably in travel insurance.
• Strong technical knowledge of claims handling and policy interpretation.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
