Electrical Engineer

About the role

WSP is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team on landmark building services projects. You will work across the full project lifecycle, delivering high‑quality electrical designs while collaborating with mechanical, structural, architectural and specialist disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Produce electrical engineering design deliverables such as calculations, drawings, schematics, reports and specifications.
• Coordinate electrical designs with other disciplines to ensure fully integrated solutions.
• Conduct technical reviews to verify compliance with codes, standards and client requirements.
• Support responses to RFIs, site queries and design clarifications throughout the project.
• Lead or contribute to multidisciplinary design collaboration and interface management.
• Present technical solutions to clients, address queries and support decision‑making.
• Mentor junior engineers, CAD technicians and BIM modelers to maintain consistent quality.
• Identify risks, develop engineering solutions and contribute to value‑engineering initiatives.
• Participate in project planning, resource input and programme coordination.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering complex building services engineering projects.
• Ability to lead engineering packages, resolve technical issues and influence project direction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff.
• Excellent client‑facing and communication skills.
