Financial Controller – Fintech (Hong Kong)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a fast‑growing fintech firm in Hong Kong. The role will lead the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and strategic financial guidance for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide strategic financial advice to support business decision‑making.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to guarantee accurate financial data.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and regulators.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
• Experience at a Big 4 firm combined with fintech or brokerage exposure.
• People‑management experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial services industry practices and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective teamwork and leadership communication skills.
