Part-Time Social Media Video Assistant

About the role

The company regularly publishes video content on YouTube and Instagram and is adopting a multi-camera setup for simultaneous shooting to enrich its footage for post-production. It is looking for a reliable, young person with a strong marketing sense and video shooting experience to help with regular filming sessions. Flexible working hours make it suitable for university or tertiary students and young freelancers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the team with on-site video shooting for long-form YouTube videos and short-form Instagram content.
• Set up and operate video recording equipment to shoot from multiple angles alongside the main camera.
• Suggest framing and camera movement from a marketing and audience perspective so the footage is engaging and fits social media trends.
• Help manage the on-site workflow, pack equipment and back up video footage.

Required profile

• University or tertiary student (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, PR or a related discipline) or young freelancer.
• Able to commit consistently to 1 to 2 sessions per week over the long term.
• Punctual, responsible, adaptable and able to work indoors and outdoors.

Required skills

• Basic video shooting experience and familiarity with general video equipment.
• Good eye for framing and aesthetics.
• Familiarity with the YouTube and Instagram ecosystems and a marketing mindset.

Working hours and remuneration

• Hourly rate of HK$75 to HK$90 depending on experience.
• 1 to 2 days per week, about 3 hours per session, with flexible times.
• Location varies by shooting theme, including indoor studios and outdoor sites across Hong Kong.
