About the role
The reporter will drive IFR’s market‑leading coverage of Asian equity capital markets deals from Hong Kong, producing breaking news and occasional feature stories.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants across Asia.
- Write short breaking news pieces and longer feature articles on equity capital market deals.
- Analyse market data and trends to explain movements clearly and accurately.
Required profile
- Journalism experience, preferably covering financial markets.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong English communication skills; Mandarin fluency is an advantage.
Required skills
- Experience in financial market reporting.
- Ability to generate fresh story ideas and angles.
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills for collaboration across Hong Kong, London and New York.
