Product Engineer – AI Operating System for Short-Term Rentals

About the role

We are seeking a Product Engineer to turn real customer problems into intuitive, reliable software for Base360.ai, the AI operating system for short‑term rental businesses. You will collaborate closely with founders, designers, and property‑manager operators to identify high‑impact needs, build end‑to‑end solutions, and iterate based on user feedback.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship customer‑facing features, operational dashboards, automation engines, AI‑powered workflows and third‑party integrations.
• Own the full product lifecycle from concept, prototype, frontend and backend development, testing, deployment to production monitoring.
• Work directly with property managers to understand workflows, surface friction points and prioritize solutions.
• Create intuitive user experiences in partnership with designers, simplifying complex short‑term rental operations.
• Build event‑driven automations that eliminate repetitive tasks such as cleaning scheduling, guest communications and owner reporting.
• Develop AI‑driven capabilities using LLMs and AI agents for guest communication, maintenance triage and pricing support.
• Implement reliable APIs and integrations with platforms like Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio and OpenAI.
• Measure product impact using customer feedback and usage data, and continuously improve performance, scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong experience building and shipping production software across frontend and backend.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, Python and FastAPI or comparable frameworks.
• Deep understanding of APIs, databases, integrations and cloud architecture.
• Product‑mindset with curiosity about user needs and willingness to work directly with customers.
• Ability to work independently, own outcomes and make sound technical trade‑offs.
• Interest in AI, automation and operational efficiency.
