Project Manager – Building (HK) – up to $120k + bonus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale building projects in Hong Kong, including government and hospital developments. You will own the full project lifecycle, from inception through handover, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the entire project lifecycle: planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Develop, monitor and update the master construction programme using MS Project or Primavera, ensuring adherence to milestones.
• Direct site operations, logistics and resources across multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage project P&L, budgets, cost forecasting, cash flow and expenditure tracking.
• Administer contracts, negotiate subcontractor packages, variation orders and final accounts, using HKIA, NEC or GCC forms.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, consultants, government departments and Hospital Authority, securing permits and statutory approvals.
• Enforce compliance with Hong Kong building regulations, safety legislation and environmental standards.
• Champion a safety‑first culture and implement robust QA/QC processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing project team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture or related field.
• 12‑15 years progressive experience in Hong Kong building construction, with at least 5 years in a senior Project Manager role for a reputable main contractor.
• Professional membership of HKIE, HKIA, HKIS, CIOB or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing hospital or government projects (ArchSD, Housing Department, DSD) and familiarity with public works procedures.
