Senior Finance Manager – APAC Marketing Agency

About the role

Our client, a reputable APAC marketing agency headquartered in Hong Kong, is seeking a Finance Manager (open to senior level) to partner with the leadership team and safeguard the company’s financial health. You will guide strategic decisions, manage risk, and oversee budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting while leading a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Co‑founder on financial planning, cash‑flow monitoring, performance metric analysis, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise accountants, manage daily accounting operations (AP, AR), and mentor finance team members.
• Drive process enhancements, ensure timely payments, and establish credit‑control guidelines for sales and accounting teams.
• Manage external CPA firms, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, local tax laws, internal policies, and regulatory reporting.
• Lead annual audit processes for Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, and other expansion regions as needed.
• Partner with leadership to evaluate project ROI, track operational KPIs, and identify cost‑saving opportunities while reducing manual work.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 5 years of full‑set accounting experience with a professional CPA qualification, plus proven people‑management and process‑improvement track records.
• Early‑career experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier audit firm combined with commercial experience is strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting or any ERP system; exposure to system implementation or migration is a strong plus.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder‑management, and influencing skills with a collaborative mindset.
• Strong planning, organizational, and financial capabilities coupled with sharp commercial acumen.
