Senior/Project Manager - Financial Institution Projects

About the role

Turner & Townsend is hiring a Senior/Project Manager in Hong Kong to lead the execution of construction and workplace projects for financial institution clients. The role ensures quality, cost, safety and scheduling objectives are met, coordinates stakeholders, manages site operations and fosters a collaborative project environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support junior team members, help onboard new colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture
• Coordinate clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers, run stakeholder meetings and report progress
• Lead project management to meet quality, cost, statutory compliance, safety, environmental standards and schedule requirements
• Manage the master programme, including materials and long lead items, and keep weekly work plans, look-ahead schedules and inspection timelines up to date
• Plan and organise statutory inspections and ensure timely approvals
• Monitor progress and quality, enforce safety standards and support project administration, documentation and reporting
• Oversee external consultants and multidisciplinary teams, act as liaison and lead progress meetings
• Produce project reports capturing updates, risks, decisions and action items
• Prepare and manage project schedules using Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or Excel, including baseline setting and critical path analysis
• Manage procurement for consultants, including drafting scopes, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts

Required profile

• Degree in Construction, Project Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years' experience managing commercial office, retail or showroom fit-out projects internationally
• Experience leading small to medium-sized construction projects of low to medium complexity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and leadership skills; English fluency required
• Candidates with more experience will be considered for the Senior Project Manager position
