Technical Officer / Senior Research Assistant – Oncology & Immunology

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Officer / Senior Research Assistant to support our Centre for Oncology and Immunology’s cutting‑edge drug discovery programmes. The role will be based in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park and involves maintaining a safe, well‑organized laboratory environment while supporting multidisciplinary research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory organization and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Handle procurement, inventory management, and administrative tasks for the research team.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments, including mass spectrometers and chromatography systems.
• Provide training and onboarding for new staff, students, and collaborators.
• Assist in project planning and coordination across chemistry, proteomics, and immunology workflows.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Project‑management capability to plan and oversee research activities.
