Full-time Research Assistant – Behavioural Interventions

About the role

The School of Arts and Social Sciences at Hong Kong Metropolitan University seeks a full‑time Research Assistant II to support a project developing behavioural interventions that aid parents in making decisions about children’s influenza vaccination and related health behaviours.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature searches and systematic reviews.
• Design, pilot‑test, and refine study instruments.
• Coordinate project logistics, including managing part‑time helpers and overseeing data collection.
• Clean, organise, and analyse quantitative datasets.
• Assist in drafting research reports, academic papers, and presentation materials.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Sciences, Nursing, or another health‑related discipline.
• Strong written and spoken English and Chinese communication skills.
• Good interpersonal abilities, a responsible attitude, and a hard‑working mindset.
• Experience with surveys and behavioural interventions is desirable.

Required skills

• Competence in quantitative data analysis.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications for data handling.
