Account Handler - Employee Benefits

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Account Handler to join its Health & Benefits team, part of the people and investments business. The role is based in Hong Kong and is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office. It supports the employee benefits consulting and broking team and Account Managers, ensuring client needs are met according to agreed service standards and timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Client servicing and coordination: support day-to-day service delivery for assigned clients (requests, follow-ups, documentation), coordinate with internal stakeholders and build collaborative relationships across teams.
• Renewals, placement and billing support: support annual renewals and mid-term changes, prepare renewal reports and materials, follow up on missing client information, and coordinate quotations, placements and billing.
• Data preparation and benefits analytics: learn the main employee benefits and insurance classes offered, collect and clean data such as claims, benefit utilization and member census, and produce summaries and insights for management.
• Accuracy, governance and filing: validate information against engagement scope, policy terms and coverage, and ensure records are properly filed, version controlled and complete.
• Claims support: stay aware of moderately complex claims matters and assist claims personnel in progressing equitable outcomes for clients within the role's scope.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, Behavioural studies or a related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Required skills

• Analytical skills: interpreting claims, utilization and census data, identifying trends and cost drivers, and turning findings into clear summaries.
• Solid Excel and reporting skills (pivot tables, data cleaning, reconciliation, basic charting).
• Good communication and stakeholder management.
