Air Conditioning Technician – Staff Accommodation

About the role

The resort is seeking a dedicated Air Conditioning Technician to maintain the HVAC and refrigeration systems that serve staff accommodation. You will ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for employees by keeping all equipment operating efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, maintain and repair air‑conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration equipment in staff housing.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on split AC units, window units, VRF/VRV systems, exhaust fans and related ventilation components.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs promptly and minimise equipment downtime.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns from occupants or the Facilities team.
• Conduct routine performance inspections, clean coils, filters and drain lines, and verify refrigerant levels.
• Identify refrigerant leaks, recharge systems in line with environmental regulations, and handle refrigerants responsibly.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance schedules, repairs and parts usage.
• Coordinate with the Engineering Storekeeper to secure spare parts and report major repair or replacement needs.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Air‑Conditioning, Refrigeration, HVAC or a related technical field.
• At least one year of hands‑on experience maintaining HVAC equipment.
• Familiarity with local safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and keep a clean, safe work area.
