Air Logistics Gateway Operations Specialist

About the role

As an Air Logistics Gateway Operations Specialist you will manage the day‑to‑day operations of a local air freight gateway for Kuehne+Nagel. You will optimise cargo flows, utilise procured capacity and ensure commercial performance while meeting customer service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inbound and outbound freight arrangements, coordinating with local ground transportation teams.
• Manage and optimise the utilisation of fixed and spot air‑cargo capacity in line with carrier requirements and internal guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with security, safety and carrier regulations.
• Drive process efficiency through automation, standardisation and digital tools.
• Collaborate with Kuehne+Nagel’s global gateway network, sharing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Work closely with the X‑Community, CCL, OCC and development teams on implementations, RFQs and business development.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of air logistics transportation.
• Proven experience in direct customer contact and stakeholder management across multiple countries.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts.
• Presentation and moderation capabilities.
