Air Traffic Controller – Hong Kong International Airport

About the role

We are seeking experienced Air Traffic Control Officers to join NATS at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), one of the world’s busiest and most complex airspaces. The role involves providing safe and efficient air traffic services in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide air traffic control services for arrivals, departures and final approach at HKIA.
• Manage ground movements and coordinate with tower and approach units.
• Handle over 900 aircraft movements per day in a round‑the‑clock operation.

Required profile

• Current full‑time operational ATCO at a busy international airport for the last 3 years.
• Experience handling more than 900 movements per day.
• Valid Air Traffic Controller licence with APS and/or ADI rating.
• ICAO English level 4 or higher.

Required skills

• Approach Control Surveillance (APS) rating.
• Aerodrome Control Instrument (ADI) rating (including AIR and GMC endorsements).
• Air Traffic Control licence.
• ICAO English proficiency (level 4+).
