APAC Legal Counsel (12‑month Contract)

About the role

Capital Group is seeking an APAC Legal Counsel on a 12‑month contract to provide proactive legal advice and risk management for its Asia‑Pacific operations. You will work closely with internal business teams, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders on business and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Monitor and advise on regulatory developments across APAC jurisdictions.
• Participate in trade association working groups to build industry relationships.
• Support cross‑functional teams with legal risk assessments and mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice in at least one APAC jurisdiction.
• Demonstrated experience handling commercial and regulatory matters in a fast‑growing environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with diverse internal teams and cultures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
