Asia SEO/GEO Specialist (Manager)

About the role

Manulife is seeking an experienced SEO/GEO Specialist to lead organic visibility initiatives across its Asian markets. The manager will partner with cross‑functional teams to drive technical and content SEO improvements, support lead generation, and enhance brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SEO/GEO project timelines, stakeholder expectations, and delivery using project‑management tools.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance on SEO concepts (GEO, AEO, AXO, ASO) to partners in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Vietnam and other regions.
• Maintain technical SEO baselines, diagnose issues, and implement solutions aligned with internal platforms.
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, search‑intent mapping, and create SEO briefs for content teams.
• Oversee content approval processes with Product, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing.
• Develop educational materials such as playbooks, guidelines, and training resources.
• Produce regular performance reports, highlight risks, and propose mitigation plans.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience with proven results across multiple Asian markets.
• Background in financial services and regional role preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; additional Asian language a plus.

Required skills

• Technical SEO expertise (indexability, crawlability, robots.txt, XML sitemaps, meta robots tags).
• Broken page handling (4xx/5xx), redirect management (301/302, redirect chains, loops).
• URL structure and parameter handling, canonical tag usage, internal linking.
• Core Web Vitals awareness and site performance basics.
• Backlink building and management.
• Keyword research, competitor analysis, search‑intent mapping, SEO brief development.
