Assistant External Affairs Manager – Community Relations

About the role

The Assistant External Affairs Manager (Community Relations) supports the Corporate Affairs Division in strengthening the Club’s strategic positioning as a world‑class racing, charitable and sports organisation. The role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with government bodies, political parties, councils and community stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with responsible gambling policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing stakeholder engagement strategies across government, legislative and district councils, political parties and community groups.
• Organise briefings, meetings, volunteer programmes and other engagement activities for external stakeholders.
• Prepare written and presentation materials for stakeholder meetings and events.
• Advise senior staff on attendance at stakeholder events in line with local political climate and district protocols.
• Coach junior team members on stakeholder engagement processes.
• Ensure compliance with the Responsible Gambling Policy and all legal wagering requirements.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Recognised university degree in communications, public relations, public administration, business studies, external affairs or a related discipline.
• 3–6 years of experience in corporate communications, external relations, government or public affairs.
• Strong understanding of Hong Kong’s political and community landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
