Assistant Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Assistant Human Resources Manager supports senior HR leaders in delivering day‑to‑day HR services across a major public‑sector health organisation. This role provides administrative and managerial assistance in recruitment, compensation, performance, learning and employee relations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Cluster General Manager (Human Resources) and Senior Human Resources Manager with managerial and administrative tasks across core HR functions.
• Support manpower planning and recruitment activities, ensuring staffing needs are met efficiently.
• Help administer benefits and compensation programmes, including payroll and allowances.
• Contribute to performance management processes, from appraisal coordination to feedback delivery.
• Assist in the design and delivery of training and development initiatives.
• Facilitate staff relations, communication, and employee engagement efforts.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent qualification.
• Post‑qualification experience in human resources is preferred.
• Relevant HR, management or public health management certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Self‑motivated, responsible and capable of working independently.

What we offer

• Monthly salary ranging from HK$38,290 to HK$67,526 (HGPS Point 15‑27) plus monthly allowance.
• Potential end‑of‑contract gratuity up to 15 % of basic salary for contract staff, subject to performance.
