Assistant Manager - Data Analytics & Engineering

Key responsibilities

• Lead, design, establish, own, and maintain structured and unstructured research data and customer‑centric analysis databases from various sources, including self‑owned, research, voice/audio, and social media data.
• Manage and execute database, data analytics, automation, and reporting projects.
• Define database architecture, data structures, cleansing rules, coding skeletons, and workflow across survey datasets to create unified, trusted databases.
• Automate workflows, templates, reports and dashboards using scripts or tools to meet business analysis needs.
• Review, clean, validate and standardise multi‑source data to ensure quality and consistency.
• Propose, deploy, upgrade and maintain platforms that integrate with databases.
• Write and update user requirements, database schemas, data definitions, reporting templates and automation guidelines.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and perform ad‑hoc tasks aligned with business needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Data Science, Decision Science or related fields.
• At least 8 years of experience in database development, data analytics, data engineering, automation, reporting and writing user requirements.
• Proven proficiency in English and Chinese with strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical, numerical, logical and problem‑solving abilities combined with business acumen.
• Self‑motivated, responsible, independent, detail‑oriented, organized and positive attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with AI tools for database architecture, analytics and processing.
• Advanced Excel functions; SPSS knowledge is an advantage.
• Ability to handle data from multiple sources, perform cleansing, structuring, standardisation and governance.
