Assistant Procurement Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Procurement Manager at Sika Hong Kong, you will support both direct and indirect procurement activities, developing category strategies to optimise spend, drive cost savings and ensure supplier value. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will act as a high‑impact individual contributor across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage direct material spend, determining optimal supplier allocation and sourcing strategies for cost‑efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Lead end‑to‑end RFP/RFI/RFQ processes and negotiate pricing, commercial terms, SLAs and contractual guarantees with key suppliers.
• Identify and deliver structural cost‑saving initiatives by partnering with internal department leaders.
• Conduct regular supplier audits, performance evaluations and drive continuous improvement programmes.
• Prepare procurement performance reports, market analysis, benchmarking and spend analysis.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and risk teams to draft and finalise vendor contracts while managing supply‑chain continuity.
• Oversee indirect categories such as equipment, MRO, office supplies, professional services, IT and facility services to ensure cost efficiency.
• Ensure strict adherence to company procurement policies, the global procurement manual and the local authority matrix.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Material Science, Chemistry or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the chemical industry.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI.
