Technical Services Executive (Hardlines - Toys/Hardgoods)

About the role

SGS, a global testing, inspection and certification company, is hiring a Technical Services Executive in Hong Kong for its Hardlines business (Toys/Hardgoods). The role supports operations, customers and clients with technical advice on chemical regulations and product testing.

Key responsibilities

• Review global chemical regulations
• Provide technical support and consultancy to operations, customer services, frontlines and clients
• Organize and deliver internal and external seminars and training
• Develop new services according to client specifications or updated requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in chemistry or a related science discipline
• At least 3 years of solid experience in a testing laboratory
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin
• Preferred: experience in product manufacturing and laboratory operations, and in customer service
• Candidate with more experience will be considered for a Senior Technical Services Executive position

Required skills

• Knowledge of international regulations and testing standards
• Knowledge of hardline products such as toys, food contact items and sundries
• Independent, responsible and flexible, with good communication, organizing and presentation skills
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
