Assistant Restaurant Manager – One Duck Lane

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the F&B Operations Manager in delivering exceptional Chinese dining experiences at One Duck Lane, located within Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour. The role focuses on service quality, team leadership, and operational efficiency in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee mise‑en‑place, service, and cashiering to maximise guest satisfaction.
• Manage team schedules and ensure staffing levels meet service demands.
• Train and mentor associates on Chinese dining experiences and service standards.
• Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality.
• Monitor service standards and implement improvements as needed.
• Prepare reports on team performance and service metrics.
• Practice cost‑saving measures for food, beverage, paper, electricity and water, including recycling.
• Check inventory for daily requisition and perform any duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively and work under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on culinary excellence.
• Independent work style with a pleasant, service‑oriented, outgoing personality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
