Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Executive (Reactive)

About the role

The Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Executive (Reactive) supports the Sales & Marketing team of a leading hotel brand in Hong Kong. You will handle guest inquiries, process reservations, and use sales techniques to maximise revenue while maintaining guest loyalty.

Key responsibilities

• Contact relevant departments to resolve guest calls, requests or problems.
• Apply up‑selling techniques, offer complimentary gifts and promote Marriott Rewards.
• Process reservation requests, changes and cancellations via phone, fax or mail.
• Enter guest and rewards information into the hotel’s reservation system.
• Answer and record all guest communications professionally.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing and faxing to support Sales & Marketing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, acting as a role model.
• Maintain company policies, professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Provide courteous welcome and service to all guests, anticipating their needs.
• Support team goals, monitor performance and ensure quality standards are met.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in sales or hospitality.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with reservation and rewards software.
• Basic office computer skills (email, typing, fax).
