Assistant Vice President - Corporate Team

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join its Corporate Team, based in Hong Kong. The role leads personal accounts, supports proposals and presentations, and builds strong relationships with clients and their professional counterparts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead personal accounts by setting goals, implementing action plans, monitoring progress and making sure service meets or exceeds client expectations while protecting the firm from errors and omissions.
• Draft comprehensive project documents for clients, such as white papers, approaches, quantitative financial analyses and presentations on new subjects or opportunities.
• Research markets and industries to find resources on new growth areas and trends, and refine data analyses to support proposals and account-facing presentations.
• Address escalated issues promptly, manage expectations, mitigate relationship risks and escalate major issues to senior colleagues in line with compliance.
• Provide technical and transactional support for complex or high-priority relationships, and develop strong relationships with professional counterparts at client organisations.
• Attend industry events and conferences to build a professional network and represent the company.
• Coach junior team members by leading by example.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Holding of ACII or ANZIIF is preferable.
• 8+ years of experience in the broking/general insurance industry.
• Strong command of English and Chinese.
• Ambitious, solution-focused, with strong client and underwriter relationship management skills.

Required skills

• Good PC skills, including Word (English and Chinese), Excel and PowerPoint.
