Assistant/VP Community Engagement – Finance Museum

About the role

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking an experienced museum or exhibition curator to lead the operations and public‑engagement activities of its reimagined finance museum, scheduled to open in Q2 2027. Reporting to the Head of the Corporate Communications Management Office, the AVP/VP will shape immersive visitor experiences that reflect HKEX’s strategic vision and promote financial‑market awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day museum management, visitor services, tour arrangements and the souvenir shop.
• Curate outreach programmes, themed workshops and presentations to raise awareness of Hong Kong’s financial markets.
• Build and deepen partnerships with schools, professional bodies, community groups and other local organisations.
• Translate HKEX’s heritage and future narrative into rotating thematic exhibitions and visitor experiences.
• Incorporate visitor and stakeholder feedback to continuously refresh content in line with corporate strategy.

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in communications, social sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in museum or exhibition operations, community engagement, stakeholder management or content development.
• Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) with strong presentation and networking abilities.
• Understanding of financial markets is a plus.
• Proven project‑management capability, self‑starter attitude and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Customer‑focused, creative, organised, detail‑oriented with good problem‑solving skills; flexible to work occasional weekends.
