Associate, China Corporates Banking, Hong Kong

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Associate for its China Corporates Department within the Global Corporate Banking Division in Hong Kong. The role supports relationship managers in promoting and establishing business relationships with existing and eligible new customers, while helping to maximise profit, improve return on assets, and monitor asset volume, quality and customer credit standing.

Key responsibilities

• Promote corporate banking products to achieve net operating profit and acquire new clients.
• Help relationship managers plan and set objectives aligned with the bank's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Product Offices to optimise the balance sheet and satisfy customers.
• Develop cross-selling business in treasury, foreign exchange, derivatives and other areas, and leverage the One MUFG offering.
• Periodically monitor customer performance and credit status and act when needed.
• Complete departmental actions and regional KPIs within the required turnaround times, accurately and consistently.
• Ensure full compliance with regulations and internal controls, including the first-line global operations and compliance framework.
• Carry out additional assignments given by seniors and management.

Required profile

• University graduate with a degree in Business studies.
• At least 3 years of experience in corporate banking business.
• Strong commercial sense and knowledge of corporate banking products.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Sufficient computer knowledge.
