Analyst / Associate, Assistant Relationship Manager, Global Corporate Banking

About the role

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is recruiting an Analyst / Associate, Assistant Relationship Manager for its Global Corporate Banking team in Hong Kong. The role supports relationship managers in promoting and establishing business relationships with existing and new clients, while helping to maximise profit and improve return on assets.

Key responsibilities

• Promote corporate banking products to achieve net operating profit and acquire new clients.
• Assist relationship managers in planning and setting objectives aligned with the bank's strategic goals.
• Collaborate with Product Offices to deliver balance sheet optimisation and client satisfaction.
• Develop cross-selling business volume for trade finance, overseas deposits, foreign exchange, derivatives and other products.
• Monitor client performance and credit status regularly and act when needed.
• Ensure departmental actions, including regional KPIs, are completed on time and accurately.
• Ensure full compliance with regulations and internal controls, and follow ethical behaviour.
• Carry out additional assignments given by seniors and management.

Required profile

• Degree holder.
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate banking or professional service firms; less experienced candidates may be considered for Analyst positions.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Knowledge of corporate banking products and credit/financial analysis.
• Good command of the MS Office suite.
